Fishin’ Girl was founded by Andy and Cathy Sanders, a husband-and-wife team deeply passionate about empowering women in fishing and building a strong, values-driven community. Together, they bring decades of experience in education, publishing, media, and outdoor adventure to the Fishin’ Girl brand—now recognized as a leading force in the world of women’s fishing.
Dr. Cathy Sanders is the visionary behind Fishin’ Girl Nation, a fast-growing, women-only fishing club that’s uniting women anglers across the United States. As a professional beach fishing guide, Cathy leads popular surf fishing charters in Northeast Florida, helping anglers of all skill levels grow in confidence and ability. With a background in music and international writing, Cathy blends her creative talents with her love for fishing to offer a fresh and inspiring voice in the industry.
Dr. Andy Sanders brings over 20 years of global experience in the book publishing industry and serves as the business and media strategist behind the Fishin’ Girl movement. A seasoned writer and educator, Andy plays a critical role in the launch and growth of new platforms, products, and outreach efforts that support women in fishing and outdoor lifestyle industries.
The Sanders reside in Palm Coast, Florida, where they enjoy life as empty nesters with their two mischievous, cross-eyed Siamese cats. United in their faith, family values, and love for fishing, Andy and Cathy are working to expand Fishin’ Girl into a worldwide brand for women who love to fish.
